On March 31, 2023 (UTC +8), the first batch of wind turbines for SANY Renewable Energy's Arkalyk project were successfully shipped from Khorgos Port. The vehicles loaded with SANY Renewable Energy's wind turbines will travel more than 2,000 kilometers to the project site, ensuring adequate preparation for the subsequent construction phase.
The Arkalyk project adopts 10 units of highly reliable 4.8 MW WTGs from SANY Renewable Energy, with turbine blades measuring up to 82 meters in length — the longest ever shipped in Kazakhstan.
Once completed, the project will generate approximately 170 million kWh of clean electricity annually for the surrounding area, which will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 176,000 tons and be enough to power more than 12,000 families for a whole year.
SANY Renewable Energy is leveraging SANY Group's global services and engineering equipment resources to contribute to Kazakhstan's clean energy transition and support the country's goal of achieving carbon neutrality.
SANY Renewable Energy will continue to uphold its mission of "promoting the efficient use of clean energy", steadily push forward project progress, and achieve the objectives of grid connection. SANY Renewable Energy is committed to making sustained contributions to the Belt and Road Initiative and strengthening partnerships with Kazakhstan.
