Located in the High-tech Industrial Development Zone of Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, SANY Renewable Energy Chenzhou Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park covers an area of 455 acres with three production lines: nacelle, hub, and tower. Through the implementation of intelligent visual solutions, a series of intelligent applications have been realized, such as smart factories, eco office parks, and intelligent energy monitoring.
The implementation of digital technologies allows for high integration of production processes in the nacelle factory, such as automatic pre-assembly of yaw system, automatic assembly of brakes, and automatic flipping of underframe, greatly streamlining material transportation, improving production efficiency and reducing floor space of the factory.
With an area of 23,000 square meters, which is only equivalent to the size of three football fields, the output per unit area of this factory is at least 1.34 times higher than that of traditional factories. The factory can produce as many as 1000 sets of large-MW WTGs per year and only takes 3 hours to manufacture a nacelle.
The recently unveiled SANY Renewable Energy Chenzhou nacelle intelligent manufacturing line 2.0 represents a significant advancement in digitization, intelligence, and process integration. Through enhancements in visual system precision, optimization of mechanical structure, and end-to-end collaborative capability, various production procedures have been improved, contributing to a remarkable 30% reduction in delivery time.
In addition, the main production line utilizes 2 large-tonnage AGVs for transportation, resulting in a significant improvement in delivery flexibility. The coordination between different workstations has become more agile, reducing the occurrence of abnormal situations and enhancing the production efficiency.
A reliable manufacturing process is the foundation of product stability. The factory ensures complete traceability throughout the production process, with material online monitoring and critical data online management. Taking advantage of cutting-edge technologies such as AI-based intelligent quality inspection, digital twinning, machine learning, and 5G+IoT, the production process is comprehensively controlled to guarantee the highest product quality.
Nowadays, the increase in the weight and size of wind turbine components poses new challenges to manual assembly. SANY Renewable Energy addresses this by using robots equipped with multi-functional grippers and advanced visual systems to automatically complete tasks of bolt greasing, installation, and tightening, and such automation also extends to the detection of thread and greasing quality, improving product quality substantially.
