The 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change(UNFCCC COP28)is underway in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, continuing on December 5th. Under the circumstance of record-high global temperatures and escalating climate disasters, the conference provides an opportunity to reassess and redirect the progress of each country's actions since the signing of the Paris Agreement.
01 Roundtable Discussion
Mr. Xu Yuejian, Deputy General Manager of SANY Renewable Energy Overseas Marketing Company, was invited to attend the conference "Accelerating Renewable Deployment through Globalization," hosted by BCG. He discussed SANY Renewable Energy's globalization strategy and diversified industry layout. Mr. Xu pointed out, "Accelerating the transformation of new energy has become an inevitable part of global long-term development, and the structural adjustment of renewable industry is a vital approach for countries and enterprises to strengthen their international competitiveness. A large-scale increase in the use of wind power, solar power, and other renewable energy sources is crucial to the global target of reaching net-zero emissions by 2050."
02 About SANY RE
As a leading company in the global renewable energy industry, SANY Renewable Energy continues to promote the efficient use of clean energy for humankind. Relying on SANY Group's overseas layout and achievements (exports to more than 150 countries and regions, owns 13 overseas factories, and employs more than 52,000 people globally), SANY Renewable Energy actively develops global business. We carry out wind power projects in Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and North Africa, among other regions, to address local energy shortages, meet the local demand for electricity, and promote employment and economic development.
03 New Energy
Facing the new energy field with great development prospects, the integration of wind power, photovoltaic, and other renewable energies has become an emerging business growth point in the energy industry. SANY Renewable Energy is actively expanding wind-solar hybrid, hydrogen production with wind power, and electrification projects.
Wind Power
SANY Renewable Energy continues to focus on wind power technology research and development, with R&D investment reaching 11% of total expenses. Through years of exploration, SANY Renewable Energy has the ability to manufacture wind turbines ranging from 1.5 MW to 11.5 MW. In 2023, SANY Renewable Energy successfully released the world's largest onshore wind turbine with a unit capacity of 15 MW, ushering in the era of large-megawatt turbines and making an outstanding contribution to the development of global wind power.
Solar Energy
SANY Silicon Energy has made continuous breakthroughs in product performance and successfully built up the entire industrial chain, with independent R&D and production capacity from crystal pulling, slicing, cells, to modules. At present, SANY has more than 10 GW of silicon wafer, new cell, and module factories under construction.
Hydrogen Energy
The main business of SANY Hydrogen Energy focuses on the R&D, manufacturing, and industrialization of hydrogen production and refueling equipment, as well as its key components, to realize the closed loop of the entire ecological industry chain from green power to hydrogen energy to application. SANY Hydrogen Energy has built up the entire industrial chain of hydrogen production, storage, and refueling, setting a benchmark for the application of hydrogen energy in transportation.
Electric Vehicle
SANY's electrification of traditional construction machinery and equipment is also developing rapidly, with a complete industry chain layout from core components to terminal operation, fully realizing self-research, self-production, and self-matching, and serving customers with low cost and high efficiency.
