SANY Renewable Energy Co. Ltd, a leading Asian wind energy solution provider, has bagged market entry order in India through its 100% owned subsidiary SANY Wind Energy India Private Limited for the development of a wind power project for Green Infra Clean Wind Power Limited.
Green Infra Clean Wind Power Limited is a subsidiary of Singapore-headquartered Sembcorp Industries, a leading Asian renewable energy player. SANY will supply 13 wind turbines of rated capacity of 4 MW each having hub height of 139 m and rotor diameter of 166.8 m. The project is located in Karnataka state of India.
This wind turbine model of SANY is included in MNRE-RLMM List, published by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Govt. of India. The turbines also meet the requirements of Indian Grid Codes. SANY has received the certification from UL recently. The proposed 4 MW wind turbine model is one of the largest and most efficient wind turbines in India in its class. With lower cut-in & rated wind speeds, the power curve is optimized to maximize power generation at the low-medium wind regime in India. This turbine is a part of SANY’s 3.X-4.X MW platform, which is already installed and commissioned in China.
SANY will provide the wind turbines, as well as commissioning and Comprehensive Operation & Maintenance (COM) services after commissioning.
Speaking on the order, Mr. Zhou Fugui, Chairman of SANY Renewable Energy Co. Ltd, said, "SANY Renewable Energy, with over 15 years of experience in wind turbine manufacturing and projects, is well positioned to contribute to India's mbitious Renewable Energy Demands and achieving the Wind Energy Installations target of 140 GW by 2030. At present, we limit our business scope in India market to wind turbine supply, testing, commissioning and O&M services. In the future, we will gradually expand our scope as per demand from customers.”
