In the clean energy journey, SANY Renewable Energy continues to expand its global business territory with excellent vision and strength. Now we are honored to announce the successful signing of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and the Contract for Difference (CfD) for our 168MW Alibunar project in Serbia, which marks a key step in the new energy sector in the country, and an milestone of our energy cooperation in Europe and even in the globe. 

Project Profile 

The Alibunar project is located in the eastern part of Serbia, which is one of the richest wind resource areas in the country. The total installed capacity of is 168MW, and the Annual Electricity Production  can reach about 480 million kWh. The project is planned to have a construction period of 2 years and an operation period of 25 years, and is expected to be commercially operational by 2028. When grid-connected, the Alibunar project will provide Serbia with a large amount of clean energy, which will help optimize the local energy structure and reduce the reliance on traditional fossil energy.

Project Significance

The Alibunar project is SANY Renewable Energy's first investment in Serbia. The signing of the PPA and CfD is a milestone in SANY Renewable Energy's co-operation with Serbia and the global energy sector. Zhou Fugui, Chairman of the company, said: “The Alibunar wind project is of great importance to our company, and it marks our entry into the Serbian and the wider European market for the wind power business. We will actively co-operate with local partners to help Serbia realize its energy transition and sustainable development goals through the introduction of advanced wind power technologies and solutions.”
