On October 23rd (UTC+8), the Third Belt and Road Energy Ministerial Conference was successfully held in Qingdao, Shandong province.
The theme of the conference was "Together for an Innovative and Win-Win Future," aimed at fostering partnerships through the Belt and Road initiative to help countries jointly address the challenges of global climate change and energy transition, achieve sustainable energy development, and build a clean and beautiful world.
Energy ministers, ambassadors, and high-level representatives from 27 countries, along with leaders from four international organizations and over 600 representatives from Chinese and foreign enterprises, research institutions, and universities attended the conference.
Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on energy innovation and green cooperation, reaching broad consensus and achieving fruitful results.
Mr. Liu Yu, Deputy General Manager of SANY Renewable Energy's Overseas Marketing Company, represented the company at the conference. During the event, SANY Renewable Energy's Arkalyk project in Kazakhstan was recognized by the National Energy Administration as an International Energy Cooperation Best Practice in the "Intelligence and Innovation" category.
As the only wind turbine manufacturer among the awardees, this recognition underscores the national-level acknowledgment of SANY Renewable Energy's contributions to promoting global wind power development and advancing international energy cooperation.
The Arkalyk wind power project is SANY Renewable Energy's first venture into the Central Asian region, successfully completing overseas transportation and installation tasks independently. The project includes the construction of 10 units of high-reliability SI-16848 wind turbines, with a total installed capacity of 48 MW.
The turbine blades measure 82 meters in length, making them the longest ever transported within Kazakhstan at that time. The project successfully overcame adverse weather conditions, including strong winds and heavy rain, as well as complex road conditions with multiple curves and culverts, ensuring efficient and smooth transportation to the wind farm site.
The project completed grid connection in December 2023. It is capable of providing approximately 170 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, meeting the yearly electricity needs of over 12,000 households and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 176,000 tons, contributing significantly to Kazakhstan's clean energy transition and its goal of achieving carbon neutrality.
As a globally leading clean energy provider, SANY Renewable Energy continuously contributes to global low-carbon goals through ongoing technological innovation and product upgrades, achieving remarkable results in the field of green development.
Looking ahead, SANY Renewable Energy will continue to uphold the principles of sustainable development in clean energy, advance the wind power industry, and strive to accelerate the green low-carbon transformation through intelligent manufacturing and efficient energy management, actively promoting the global green transition.
